Using this service

This service is run by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Digital Service. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service.

For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate all of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to all of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

How accessible this service is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible.

The embedded YouTube videos do not work fully with Dragon voice recognition software. Dragon users will need to use keyboard commands (such as “press Tab” and “press Enter”) to start the video for the first time. Once the video has been started, all Dragon commands should work as expected.
