Looking after your mental wellbeing

Looking after your mental health is important, particularly while looking for a job – which can be difficult and there may be setbacks. 

Whether it’s stress or anxiety, sadness or low mood, everyone will face mental health challenges at some point. They are a part of life, but sometimes they can be a real problem.

If you’re a young person facing mental health difficulties, there are additional options:

  • Find out about the support and services the NHS offers to young people
  • YoungMinds (external website) provides advice and guidance for young people looking for support 
  • Youth Hubs also provide access to wellbeing and mental health support through trusted local organisations. This could include confidence building sessions, group workshops, or directing you to services where you can get more specific support
