Applying for an apprenticeship

Top tips

  • To apply for an apprenticeship, an employer will ask you for your CV and a covering letter. Some may have an application form to complete. Make sure you’re applying in the format they want.
  • Tailor your CV to the specific apprenticeship you’re applying for. It will show an employer you’re interested and switched on.
  • Don’t forget – before you send your CV, check it and check it again for typos and errors.
