After the interview

Top tips

  • If you’re successful and offered the apprenticeship, well done! Whether you want to accept or decline the offer, make sure you do it in a timely and polite manner.
  • If you accept, agree with your new employer what happens next and a start date. For example, before you start (external website) you’ll have an initial assessment with your employer and training provider, and you’ll need to sign an apprenticeship agreement and your training plan.
  • If you don’t get an apprenticeship offer, don’t worry and don’t be too hard on yourself.
  • Learn from the experience and any feedback you get. The next opportunity could be just around the corner.
