Job Finding Support
Job Finding Support offers tailored one-to-one support to help you back into work. It’s aimed at people who have been unemployed and claiming benefits for up to 13 weeks and need light-touch support to find new work.
You will be offered at least 4 hours of tailored one-to-one digital support with an expert adviser, and at least one group session too.
You will receive a range of practical support to help you with your job search which could include, but is not limited to:
- help to identify your transferable skills
- advice about growth industries and jobs in your area
- job matching to suitable vacancies
- advice/links to suitable employers
- a mock interview with feedback and helpful guidance
Job Finding Support is part of the Government’s Plan for Jobs to help people back into work.
Am I eligible and how do I apply?
Job Finding Support is available to people who have been receiving income replacement benefits (Universal Credit website, New Style JSA website and New Style ESA website) for less than 13 weeks. Talk to your Work Coach if you want to know more.
Even if you’re not eligible or suitable for Job Finding Support your work coach can offer a wide range of other support and advice, and get you access to extra help from experts too.
