Northamptonshire Virtual Jobsfair

Local residents from across Northamptonshire are invited to join a Virtual Jobsfair and explore genuine genuine job openings as well as get practical advice on applying for jobs.

Lincolnshire

Virtual Kickstart Breakfast

Every Thursday
Starting 6th May 2021- 10am-11am

Are you a business interested in Kickstart?

The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment. Employers of all sizes can apply for funding which covers:


• 100% of the National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage depending on the age of the participant) for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months
• associated employer National Insurance contributions
• any relevant workplace pension contributions (automatic enrolment)
Employers can spread the job start dates up until 31 December 2021. You’ll get funding until 30 June 2022 if a young person starts their job on 31 December 2021.
Further funding is available for training and support so that young people on the scheme can get a job in the future

Youth Employment UK

Youth Employment UK is a not-for-profit social enterprise set up to help tackle youth unemployment. They have resources to help 14-24yr olds with a skills programme, help understand what employers are looking for and how to develop these skills, weekly newsletters with Continuing Professional Development, advice, inspiration and links to opportunities. They also have a careers hub providing impartial careers information, key career sectors and pathways and advice on Job hunting, self-employment, volunteering, mental health and finances.

British Libraries – Self Employment Support and Events

British Libraries are holding a number of events to support people wanting to start a new business or supporting those in business.

They have a ‘Reset, Restart, Bounce Back’ programme that looks at webinars focusing on key areas to develop and improve your business. You can find more information about the British Libraries programme here (external link).

Get Into Teaching – Virtual Events

Are you are currently studying, or recently graduated? If you want a career with pride and purpose, join one of Get Into Teaching Online Q&A events for more information about what a career in teaching has to offer, and get one-to-one advice on every aspect of getting into teaching.

Destination Hospitality by Springboard / Diageo Learning For Life

The Destination Hospitality by Springboard focuses on all hospitality roles, both front of house and back of house. This would be great for anyone who is interested in learning about a variety of roles and employers in the hospitality sector. It is for anyone aged 16 and over and is unemployed.

The Diageo Learning For Life programme focuses on front of house roles. This would be great for anyone who enjoys dealing with customers. It is for anyone who is aged 18 to 30 and is unemployed.

These programme lasts around four hours per day, Monday to Friday, and will cover:

  • Skills workshops: teamwork, communication, confidence, resilience
  • Covid-19 training: personal protection, wellbeing, cleaning and hygiene, customer service
  • Employability skills: CVs, interview skills and mock interviews with industry professionals
  • Training and certificates for: food safety, licensing, health and safety, customer service
  • Daily mentoring with your programme manager to develop an individual career path, identify job opportunities, job application support and in-work support
  • Guest speakers: careers, employer expectations, resilience
  • Access to more than 40 e-learning modules
  • Guaranteed interviews with employers
