Voirrey: One of the reasons why I considered being a self-employed courier was the fact that it's very flexible, so you can actually structure it around your life if you have other things that you do. Working for Hermes involves going to a depot in the morning, collecting your parcels and delivering them within a timescale that you set for yourself. They show you how to scan them, what to do, so it really is quite simple. Voirrey: I have a really good route around where I live and I have a really high volume of parcels, so I can deliver up to about I think the most was 168. I split the deliveries into two, I do a morning round and an afternoon round, so it fits very well for my lifestyle really. It's a great job for somebody my age or older or younger. You're out and about and meeting people and it's great exercise, so yeah it's got lots of plus points for it. Some of the transferable skills I've taken from previous roles to this role are you know customer services, always being smiley and happy and you know organizing my time, so I'm quite efficient at doing my job, so yeah all in all it's had a very positive impact on me. I would apply. Just give it a go.
